Assisted Living & Memory Care Placement in Seminole County, FL

Seminole County has seven cities: Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs. Each one feels a little different. The right community for your loved one might be in any of them.

Jen Brown, RN, helps families across Seminole County find assisted living and memory care. She is a former assisted living administrator. Our office is right here in the county, at One Senior Place in Altamonte Springs.

Help paying for care. Many families don't know there are other ways to help pay for assisted living. Depending on your loved one's situation, programs and benefits may be available. We know these resources and can help you learn which ones may fit your family.

Our help is free for every family. Connect with us or call 407.494.5220.

How we help Seminole County families

Some families call before a crisis. Others call after a hospital stay, when they need a plan quickly. Either way, Jen starts by listening.

  • Talk through what your loved one can do safely today
  • Make a short list of communities that fit your needs
  • Arrange tours and help you know what to ask
  • Help with move-in paperwork
  • Stay in touch after the move

We do not own or run any community, and we do not provide care. You make the final choice.

After a hospital stay in Seminole County

Many searches start after a hospital stay. A discharge planner says your loved one should not go home alone. Hospitals in and around Seminole County include:

  • AdventHealth Altamonte Springs (Altamonte Springs)
  • Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital (Longwood)
  • HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital (Sanford)
  • Oviedo Medical Center (Oviedo)

Wherever your loved one is being discharged from, Jen can help you understand the options and plan quick tours. We do not provide care. We help you find the community that does.

Choosing between cities

It is easy to fall in love with one town. But sometimes the best fit is in the next town over.

Jen asks a few simple questions:

  • Who will visit most, and where do they live or work?
  • Does your loved one want to stay near a church, club, or doctor?
  • Is being near a SunRail station helpful for family? Seminole County has stations in Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Lake Mary, and Sanford.
  • What monthly budget feels steady for the long run?

The answers help her suggest a short list across one or more cities.

Check any community's record

Florida licenses assisted living communities through the Agency for Health Care Administration. You can look up a community's license and inspection reports on FloridaHealthFinder.gov. Jen can show you how, and help you make sense of what you find.

Assisted living or memory care?

Assisted living can fit when someone needs help with daily tasks but enjoys a social setting. See assisted living placement.

Memory care can fit when memory changes make safety and routine the top concern. See memory care placement.
